Cristian Ramos is a native of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. His radio career starts at the age of 18 in Santa Maria, CA, he immigrated to Chicago in 1989 to work as a morning show host on a popular AM station. From there he moves around from Dallas, TX to Los Angeles where he meets Cheque Gonzalez and Angel Garay, forming with them a team that continued for the next 10 years. The opportunity to return to Chicago comes up in 1997 to work in the midwest’s first Mexican regional FM station, WLEY “La Ley” 107.9. Cristian Ramos held the highest ratings in PM drive from 1997 until 2001 on WLEY. He continued this streak at another popular Chicago Mexican regional station still holding the #1 spot in PM Drive from 2003 until 2005. He ended 2005 as one of the announcers in the “Asociacion Internacional de Locutores de Charreria” for the national congress of “Charros” in Guadalajara, Jalisco at the international singer Vicente Fernandez’s ranch.

 

FACTS OF CRISTIAN’S CAREER

-Narrated in Spanish the back to back plays of the Chicago Bulls Championship 91-92 (he was official, he has the same ring as Michael Jordan)

-He’s been the color men for the many Chicago & Los Angeles professional baseball team’s games

-Throughout his career he’s narrated the Jaripeos or Mexican Rodeos all over the country in places like Texas, California, Indiana, and Iowa to name a few.

-For many years in Chicago he was the master of ceremonies for many of the cities most important Beauty Pageants.
